The adoptions of the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the Paris Agreement on Climate Change have been highly recognized as one of my most significant contributions during my tenure as the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations. Making conscious and continuous efforts supported by global partnership to carry out the commitments of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement is crucial In dealing toady's challenges.

The Ban Ki-moon Foundation For a Better Future (the Foundation) was established to serve my commitments towards building a world free from conflict and deficiency under the ultimate goal of creating a better future for all. The Foundation aims to do so by following its core values of: Integration, Communication and Coexistence, and Dedication. Therefore, the Foundation intends to play a pivotal role not only in promoting peace and security, accelerating sustainable development, and advancing gender equity, women’s empowerment, and human rights, but also in addressing global conflicts and driving climate action, in alignment with its core values.

As a global platform, the Foundation stands with global citizens in achieving our common goals through practical and effective approaches. In this respect, I pledge my full devotion to serving as the Chairman of the Foundation. I will listen attentively to the collective concerns of global citizens and gather global efforts towards promoting consensus-based actions on building a better future tor all.
