The Korea Energy Agency announced on the 16th that it invited former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to complete a special lecture held at Ulsan headquarters.
Former President Ban gave a special lecture on “Climate Crisis Response and Sustainable Development” on the 15th, attended by more than 300 middle and high school students, residents, and industrial complex executives and employees in Ulsan to find a solution to the climate crisis.
“The issue of climate change is a critical task that individuals and communities will solve together beyond the responsibility of governments or businesses,” former President Ban said in the lecture, stressing the crisis that climate change will cause, the role of the public in responding to it, and the voluntary participation of the community.
“It was an opportunity for future generations and communities to form a consensus on responding to climate change and recognize their role,” said the chairman of the Sanghoon Lee Corporation. “We look forward to seeing more people participate in solving climate problems.”
